Artist - Michael James Talbot

Michael James Talbot began his work with the Royal Ballet and Opera in 2012 creating a stunning bronze titled 'Reborn'. A portrait sculpture depicting The Royal Ballet's principal dancer, Lauren Cuthbertson depicted in sculpted animation.

Michael wanted to capture the emotion and movement of Lauren in three frames . Here we can see the elegance and shear beauty of both dancer and craftsmanship.

To sculpt the figure alone in clay there can be over 200 hours involved before moulds are taken and production of bronze casting takes place.
Each piece Michael patinas and most have over 30 layers of chemicals painstakingly applied to create beautiful shades of colour.

All of Michael’s sculptures are limited editions of usually 20, signed by the artist.
