Andrew began painting in oils during sixth form and quickly fell in love with their texture and depth, preferring them over other mediums. He continues to experiment with new techniques and is known for his expressive, character-rich portraits.
Born in Chester in 1973 Andrew grew up in North Wales and studied at Bath Academy of Art in 1992. In 1996 he moved to Sheffield where he settled. Andrew loves the strong sense of community here and it has great local people.

His work has included high-profile commissions- most notably in 2015 he was commissioned to paint for the BBC’s Peaky Blinders, where he contributed character portraits and consulted on visual style. Andrew captures true characters full of expression and emotion.
